Ministry Opportunity in South Carolina!
FCA Endurance has been presented with another great ministry opportunity out in South Carolina through a partnership with SET UP Events. SET UP Events is a race organization that puts on an 11 race triathlon series in SC, as well as many other events in NC, VA, and GA. Under the leadership of FCA Endurance volunteers Sandi and Donna Douglass (shown right), we have partnered with SET UP Events to have an official ministry presence at all of their South Carolina triathlons!
As a result of our partnership, we will (1) have the opportunity to minister to all race participants and their families through service and witnessing and (2) help build our Team and awareness of FCA.
In November Slick and Donna were able to meet with the series organizer, Jeremy Davis, and God had done all of the work beforehand. They had a presentation in hand, but didn't need it, as SET UP was already on board and ready to talk details.
As a part of the agreement, FCA Endurance will be an official partner and be granted:
- Website publicity about FCA-E
- Publicity for Christian athlete's fellowship the night
before the races
- Flier in the race packets
- Pre-race prayer right after the pre-race meeting
- Event Booth
Our commitment to this partnership is providing 10 volunteers at 4 of their races:
Langley Pond - 26 April - Aiken, SC
Clemson - 10 May - Seneca, SC
Greenville - 17 Aug - Greenville, SC
Hickory Knob - 11 Oct - McCormick, SC
These volunteer opportunities will also present ministry opportunities. Sandi and Donna are partnering with the SC Huddles (Charleston and Columbia) as well as local Teammates, churches, and non-Endurance FCA groups to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are willing and available to help with this great outreach, please contact Sandi Douglass through the contact us page.
